As a middle school student, I am always busy with studying and extracurricular activities. However, I always make time to reflect on my experiences and share them with others. Here's a quick weekly update on my life as a middle schooler.
Academics:
My coursework this week was particularly challenging as I had several tests and projects due. I spent a lot of time studying and preparing for my exams, and it paid off as I received good grades. However, I realized that to consistently do well in school, I need to improve my time management skills so that I am not always working under pressure.
Extracurricular Activities:
I recently joined the school's debate team, and we had our first competition this week. It was an exciting experience, and I enjoyed learning from my teammates and seeing them in action. Although we didn't win, it was a good opportunity to practice my public speaking skills and to become more comfortable with debating. Additionally, I continued to volunteer at the local animal shelter, where I walked dogs and played with cats. It's always rewarding to see these animals find new homes and to know that I played a small role in their happiness.
Personal Life:
This week, I also spent time with my friends outside of school. We went to the mall, watched a movie, and played video games together. It was great to de-stress and just have fun with my peers. Additionally, I tried cooking for the first time, and although my dish wasn't perfect, it was a good learning experience. Lastly, I've been practicing mindfulness and meditation, which has helped me become more calm and focused in my daily life.
In conclusion, this week was filled with many challenges and rewards. I am grateful for the opportunities I had to learn and grow, and I am excited to see what next week brings.
